As I worked on the post production of the image before this on my website, I began to think that, whilst I wanted to continue with and keep the changes I was making, the image could also work in black and white. So here it is.
I've taken all of the colour out of the original, made it a bit punchier to bring out more detail in the sea, sky and (in particularly) in the cobbles; and then warmed the whole thing up a little to give it a slightly sepia, olde worlde look and feel.
Again, I may be being a bit too poetic but I think this is even more "19th century".
This image is supplied with a substantial border with the title printed in the centre at the bottom.
