In Norfolk, oak trees are everywhere. For centuries they have provided timber for ship and house building. There are still thousands of oak-beamed cottages and barns all over Norfolk.
For me, oaks are also a fabulous way of marking field boundaries. In this shot, with most of their leaves already having fallen, they give a good idea of the strength of the mighty oak.
